Somerset County High Schools Make List Of Best In New Jersey
The schools were judged based state tests results and how well the students were prepared for college, according to the rankings.

Three high schools in Somerset County have been ranked among the best high schools in the state according to U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools list.
Ridge High School in Basking Ridge was ranked number 20th in New Jersey and number 379th in the nation.
Bernards High School in Bernardsville was ranked 27th in the state and 478th nationally. Both Ridge and Bernards high schools were awarded gold medals.

The last of three Somerset County schools to make the list was Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School in Bridgewater, coming in at No. 36 in the state and No. 766 nationally. The school was awarded a silver medal.
The top school in New Jersey was Biotechnology High School in Freehold, which was ranked number 19 nationally. High Technology High School in the Lincroft section of Middletown and Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro round out the top three.

U.S. News & World Report reviewed more than 21,000 public high schools nationwide. Schools were judged “based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college,’’ according to the website.
