Watchung Hills Music Department Notes Students' Awards

Due to the large number of awards distributed at Watchung Hills Regional High School’s Senior Awards Night, outstanding students of music received   recognition for their achievements at the conclusion of each group’s annual spring concert.

The Senior Awards for Instrumental Music, distributed at the conclusion of the June 5th orchestral concert, were made by the Watchung Hills Regional High School Band Parents Association and went to Juliana Engler, Michael Griffin and Jessica Lukaczek.  

The John Phillips Sousa Award was given to Michael Griffin.

National Choral Awards  were presented at the conclusion of the concert on June 7th. Awards were as follows: 

• All Eastern Participant, Tenzin Tsepel; 
• Region Chorus Members, 2012-2013, Kristhi  Bhaumik, Tenzin Tsepel, Kimberly Lewis, Lauren Scott, Rachel Hobble, Monica Leysa; 
• All State Chorus Members, 2012-2013, Gabe Price, Dan Grant, Tenzin Tsepel, Lauren Panzarino, Rachel Hobble, Jake Wasserman; 
• All State Chorus 2013-2014, Kristhi Bhaumik
