2 Suspects Nabbed Following Passaic County Shooting
One suspect was found with hollow tip ammo and a large-capacity magazine, according to authorities.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Two people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left someone injured in Paterson last week.
Hasan Whitaker, 39, of Paterson, and Dnashia Franco, 26, of Paterson, face several charges related to a shooting that left a man with severe injuries.
On Aug. 24, just before 6 a.m., Paterson police were called out to Putman Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard in response to reports of a shooting.

Authorities found a 37-year-old Paterson man with non-fatal gunshot wounds and transferred him to St. Joseph's University Medical Center for treatment.
An investigation led police to Whitaker, who was arrested on Aug. 26, and Franco, who was arrested on Aug. 27. The two are believed to be responsible for shooting the 37-year-old, police said.

Whitaker was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, receiving stolen property, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Franco was charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of a large capacity magazine, and possession of hollow point ammunition.
