Man Killed In Fist Fight At North Jersey Country Club, Police Say

The alleged assailant has not been caught by police yet, officials said.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A man is dead following a fist fight in a Passaic County country club, according to police.

On Thursday, just before midnight, Woodland Park police were called to West Mount Country Club on a report of an unresponsive man in the catering hall.

Police discovered that the man, whose identity has not yet been released, was involved in a physical altercation with another man who struck him in the face, officials said.

The injured man, 46, from Plainfield, was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His exact cause of death has not been determined yet.

The alleged assailant jumped in a car and drove off after the fight, and has not yet been identified or caught, according to police.
