Former NY Giants Player Cunningham Found Dead In North Jersey Home
Police said they went to the 28-year-old's home on Thursday after a family member called them for a wellness check.

CLIFTON, NJ — Former New York Giants lineman Korey Cunningham was found dead in his North Jersey home this week at the age of 28, reports said.
Clifton Police said they responded to Cunningham's home around 1:15 p.m. Thursday after a family member was concerned they had not heard from him, as NBC News reported.
His cause of death has not been released, and officials said they do not suspect foul play at this time, the report said. Police will continue to investigate.

"(Cunningham) was a vital part of the spirit and camaraderie of the locker room," the Giants said in a statement on Friday morning. "Our thoughts are with Korey’s family, friends and teammates."
The offensive lineman signed with the Giants in 2021 and played in 12 total games, before eventually being released in August 2023. He was not picked up by another NFL team.

Cunningham was a 2017 graduate of the University of Cincinnati and former football team captain. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 2018 and also played for the New England Patriots before joining the G-Men.
The Patriots and Cincinnati Bearcats Football both posted on social media to express their sympathies to his family, former teammates, friends, and loved ones.
"Korey was a team captain with an incredible work ethic and an infectious personality," the university athletics department said.
