Husband, Wife Die In Passaic Apartment Fire: Reports

The fire at the two-story garden apartment complex remains under investigation, a report said.

PASSAIC, NJ —A husband and wife were found dead after firefighters extinguished a blaze at a two-story apartment building in Passaic City on Sunday morning, reports said.

The three-alarm fire at a two-story garden apartment complex on Spruce Street remains under investigation, per reporting by ABC7 and NJ.com. Mayor Hector Lora also said one firefighter was treated for an injury, the NJ.com report said.

Ten people from eight families were provided lodging, food and other necessities as a result of the fire, Red Cross New Jersey said in a statement.

As of Sunday afternoon, other families evacuated from the building have been able to return to their homes.
