Knife-Wielding Man Threatened Wayne Father, Tried To Pick Up His Daughter, Cops Say
The suspect received several charges, including terroristic threats and aggravated assault.

WAYNE, NJ — A Passaic man has been arrested after threatening another man with a knife, according to the Wayne Police Department.
On Sunday, around 7:30 p.m., Wayne Police were called out to Riverside Drive on a report of a fight involving a knife.
Police learned that the knife-wielding suspect had left the area in a car and headed towards Route 46 East. Authorities were able to identify the suspect vehicle, which had three people, and intercept it on Route 80 East.

Police questioned all three people, and it was determined that they had tried to pick up a Wayne girl near Riverside Drive, according to authorities.
The girl’s father refused to let his daughter go with them before one of the suspects pulled a knife and threatened him, police said.

Police searched the vehicle and found the knife in the glovebox, according to authorities.
The knife-wielding suspect, Kriss Rodriguez, 29, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, and terroristic threats, officials said.
Rodriguez also had outstanding criminal and traffic warrants from other jurisdictions. He was taken to Passaic County Jail to await court proceedings.
