Man Dies After Being Struck By Car On Route 46 In Wayne: Cops
The collision occurred on Route 46 by the Ramada Inn, authorities said.
WAYNE, NJ - A 60-year-old New York man man was killed after being struck by a car on Route 46 in Wayne on Wednesday night, according to authorities.
Around 9:50 p.m., Wayne police responded to Route 46 by the Ramada Inn after receiving a report of a pedestrian hit by a car, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Further investigation revealed Angelo Mascelli, a 66-year-old from Clifton, was driving east on Route 46 in his 1998 Honda Passport when he struck John Baranski, the prosecutor’s office said.

Baranski, an Endicott, New York resident, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m., authorities said.
Mascelli remained at the scene of the collision, the prosecutor’s office said.

No charges have been filed as of now, however authorities are continuing to investigate.
