New Board Member Selected For Wayne Township Schools
The board received 12 applications for an open position, and interviewed six candidates, before selecting a longtime township resident.

WAYNE, NJ — Longtime township resident Ryan Paul, a company CEO who went to Wayne Schools and is now raising his family in the district, has been selected to serve on the school board.
The board opened up applications after member Michael Fattal left the board to serve on Township Council. After receiving 12 applications and interviewing six people, the board's choice came down to Paul and another candidate, according to an announcement on Monday. Paul is the CEO of Axial Biologics, an orthopedic and life sciences company.
Board President Donald Pavlak said the process to fill the vacant seat was "highly competitive," with a pool of "excellent candidates."

He and his wife Cathy have five children, all of whom will attend district schools. The couple "decided it would be the best place to raise their family due to the excellent school district and community," the announcement said.
