NJ Driver Arrested After Car Crash Kills His Teen Passenger, Injures Others: PO
The charges stem from a fatal accident that occurred six months ago.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A North Jersey man has been arrested in connection with a March car accident that left one teen dead and others injured, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Tyler Robinson, 20, of Lodi, Bergen County, was arrested Wednesday after an investigation placed him behind the wheel during the collision, according to officials.
On March 2, around 12:30 a.m., Clifton police responded to a call of a car crash near Lakeview Avenue and Crooks Avenue.

Officers discovered that a 2008 Honda Accord with four people, later discovered to have been driven by Robinson, struck a 2011 Mazda CX-9 with a lone driver, according to authorities.
One of the passengers of the Honda, a 17-year-old, was pronounced dead immediately. The other three Honda occupants and the Mazda driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Robinson is charged with first-degree death by auto, second-degree death by auto, and three counts of assault by auto.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office will be filing for pre-trial detention as Robinson awaits court proceedings.
If convicted of all charges, Robinson faces up to 45 years in prison.
