Passaic County Man Arrested After Car Chase Ends in Montville
The 54-year-old driver was charged with eluding, DWI, speeding, reckless driving, unsafe lane change, improper passing, and more.

A West Milford man was arrested Thursday after taking police on a car chase that ultimately ended in Montville.
Franklin Lakes Police attempted to stop a silver sedan for speeding on Route 208 just before 1 a.m. Thursday morning but when the driver of the vehicle didn’t comply, a pursuit ensued and continued onto Route 287 South, Detective Lieutenant John Bakelaar said.
Other police agenices were contacted by the State Police Emergency Network and the vehicle was finally stopped in Montville.

Dariusz Mazur, 54, of West Milford was charged with eluding, DWI, speeding, reckless driving, unsafe lane change, improper passing, failure to wear a seatbelt and maintenance of lamps, according to Detective Lt. Bakelaar.
He was processed and released on $5,000 bail.
