Snowy Forecast Closes Wayne Public Schools Tuesday

Snowfall rates of more than 1 inch per hour are expected at times Tuesday morning with this winter storm, said forecasters.

WAYNE, NJ — Due to an impending snowstorm that could bring upwards of 10 inches of snow to the Wayne area, all township schools will be closed Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for eastern Passaic County from 1 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, when the bulk of the snowfall is predicted to occur.

The township school district's Before Care, After Care, and all after-school and evening activities are also canceled.

This storm could significantly impact the morning commute and make travel very difficult, forecasters said.
