Wayne High Schools Named To AP Honor Roll
Only 373 school districts in the United States were named to the honor roll this year.

WAYNE, NJ — More township students are enrolling in Advanced Placement classes and more students are earning higher marks on Advanced Placement tests.
This uptick in numbers has led the Wayne Public School District to be placed on the College Board's ninth annual AP District Honor Roll. Only 373 school districts in the United States were named to the honor roll this year.
The honor is bestowed to districts that increase access to Advanced Placement courses while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students who earn a three or better on AP exams.

In order to earn inclusion on the honor roll, students at both Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley had to, since 2016, increase the number of students participating in AP classes while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students who earned AP exam scores of three or more.
"We are honored to be included among a very select group of school districts receiving this prestigious recognition," said Superintendent Mark Toback. "The district has been working diligently to expand opportunities for all students to challenge themselves through AP classes while removing barriers to participation. Our selection for the AP District Honor Roll is clear evidence that our students and teachers rose to the challenge. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our AP students and their teachers. We are also very proud of our administrative team for their efforts in making this vision a reality for our school system."
