Wayne JCPenney Relocating To Willowbrook Mall This Year
JCPenney will move into the spot Lord & Taylor and Shopper's Find occupied recently at Willowbrook, leaving the Towne Center after 50 years.

WAYNE, NJ — JCPenney is making a move from mall to mall in Wayne, as the company announced it will relocate to Willowbrook Mall this spring.
That means relocating from the Wayne Towne Center location, which has been open since the mall opened in 1974. The company said it is looking to open its new Willowbrook Mall location by the end of March 2024.
"After 50 years in the Wayne community, JCPenney is excited to welcome customers into our brand new location," the company said in a statement. "We’re grateful for the longtime support of the community and look forward to continuing to serve the people of Wayne."

Ryan Hidalgo, the senior general retail manager for Willowbrook Mall, said that JCPenney will occupy the former Lord & Taylor anchor spot.
"We are very excited to have JCP join our lineup, and it’s a real testament to the strength of Willowbrook and our regional shopper draw that they would look to relocate their existing Wayne store to our center," he said.

Lord & Taylor, the oldest U.S. department store chain, closed its Willowbrook Mall location after filing for bankruptcy in August 2020. Shopper's Find replaced Lord & Taylor before closing in late 2022.
