Wayne Middle Schoolers Donate, Collect Toys for Needy Paterson Children

The toys will be delivered to Paterson churches, charities, nonprofit groups, poor families and a women's shelter by city firefighters.

Students from a Wayne middle school learned the gift of giving at a Paterson firehouse Monday where they gathered donated toys they collected for needy Paterson children.

Twenty-five students from Wayne’s Anthony Wayne Middle School aligned more than 3,000 toys by age group on tables around the firehouse, NorthJersey.com reported. The students and their classmates donated 1,576 toys, while another 1,500 were collected at a holiday fundraiser in Little Falls.

The toys will be delivered to Paterson churches, charities, nonprofit groups, poor families and a women’s shelter on Thursday and Friday by city firefighters, NorthJersey.com reported.
