About 150 students reportedly rallied at Rowan University after a student took their own life on campus.
GLASSBORO, NJ — About 150 students reportedly rallied at Rowan University after a student took their own life on campus.
A flier called the rally “a call for action amidst the mental health crisis,” according to nj.com. The student, who was the fourth Rowan student to take their own life since 2017, was a 19-year-old art student from Bernardsville.
The group that put the rally together is calling for more funding and staff for the university’s wellness center, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. They believe it should be open 24/7 through the weekends.
