Two years ago, Durr was a truck driver who defeated then-State Senate President Stephen Sweeney — widely considered a seismic upset that helped Republicans narrow the legislature's Democratic majorities.
Durr's Republican ticket also ousted Burzichelli in 2021. Burzichelli was in the General Assembly from 2002-22, serving as deputy speaker beginning in 2006.
The 3rd District includes all of Salem County and parts of Gloucester and Cumberland Counties.
All Election Night results remain unofficial until certified on a later date.
