Camden Woman Arrested for Alleged Scam at West Deptford DMV

Haydee Gonzalez, 45, was arrested under a statewide sting, 'Operation Facial Scrub.'

"Operation Facial Scrub," an ongoing state investigation info illegally obtained driver licenses, netted the arrest of a Camden City woman who allegedly conned staffers at a DMV agency in West Deptford.

Haydee Gonzalez, 45, is alleged to have stolen another woman's identity in order to obtain a driver's license, according to a press release from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office (GCPO).

Gonzalez was arrested by Det. Steven Hogan of the GCPO Major Crimes unit, and charged with forgery and fraud in the incident, which allegedly occurred in February 2010.

Gonzalez was released after posting $2500 bail.

“Operation Facial Scrub...uses software to compare facial images on millions of driver’s licenses to find duplicates," according to the GCPO press release. So far, more than 600 potential criminal cases have been identified as a result of the operation, and 38 people have been prosecuted.
