Committee Meetings, Final Summer Concert

The week in West Deptford also includes a clay pottery workshop.

It's a relatively light week of action in West Deptford, but if you're interested in helping make a difference in town, there are a couple of community groups that will meet this week.

For starters, if you're around on Monday, August 19, there are two township groups that will be meeting from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Environmental Commission gathers in the conference room at the township municipal building, and with a watchdog group claiming there are possible contaminants in the township water supply, there should be plenty to talk about.

At the same time, the RiverWinds Advisory Board will convene at the community center; those who normally wait until the township committee meetings to share their ideas about ways to improve the facility could take them directly to the board at that time.

Then on Thursday, August 22, come out the the RiverWinds for a clay pottery workshop.

Friday, August 23 brings with it the final summer concert of the season, featuring Billy Joel tribute act Robert Eric.

As always, if you want your event to be seen in our Week Ahead or Today in West Deptford calendar roundups, post stuff to our events calendar. It also ensures that your promotional efforts get into our e-mail blasts.
