Crave Cookies Opening In South Jersey, Bringing Utah 'Cookie Wars' To NJ
Crave Cookies has entered the Garden State, expanding its battle with Crumbl Cookies to win over hearts and stomachs.
DEPTFORD, NJ — Crave Cookies will soon celebrate its grand opening, marking the fresh-baked cookie chain's first shop in New Jersey.
The Deptford eatery's grand opening begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at 2000 Clements Bridge Rd.
Founded in Utah, Crave Cookies offers an array of fresh treats with a menu that changes each week. Crumbl Cookies — also founded in Utah — does the same.

Crave Cookies's opening in Deptford will bring Utah's so-called "cookie wars" to New Jersey. Crumbl sued Crave and several other Utah cookie companies last year, claiming copyright infringement of its rotating menu model, products and packaging. In July, both Crave and Crumbl agreed to a confidential settlement.
While the battle may have left the courtroom, their cookie competition is heating up in the Garden State. Crumbl has a head start, with about a dozen locations around New Jersey, including shops in Cherry Hill, Turnersville and a future Mount Laurel location set to open by year's end.

But don't count out Crave, which also has a Sicklerville location in the works.
At Saturday's grand opening, Crave will serve free chocolate chip cookies until closing or while supplies last. You can also win free cookies for a year.
The chocolate chip cookies are also available. Crave will also offer the following flavors during the grand opening: The Twix, The Bueno, Snickety Split, Maple Bar, and Better Than Pumpkin Pie.
Crave Pitman, a bakery in the namesake borough, isn't affiliated with Crave Cookies.
