GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — The Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey will hold a Mega Recruitment Day at several businesses throughout Gloucester County on Aug. 14, the organization announced.

“Girl Scouts’ mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place,” the Girl Scouts said in the announcement. “Now more than ever, girls need Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts earn badges, explore the great outdoors, try STEM activities, learn about financial literacy, practice entrepreneurship, engage in community service, build friendships and bonds to last a lifetime, and so much more.”

The goal of the Mega Recruitment Day is to encourage girls ages 5 to 18 to get involved with Girl Scouts. Businesses throughout Central and Southern New Jersey will serve as recruitment sites where girls and parents can learn more about the Girl Scout experience and how to get involved.

The Girl Scouts will be recruiting at the following locations in Gloucester County between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Aug. 14:

  • Donna's Hallmark Shop: 141 Bridgeton Pike, Plaza Suite A, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062
  • G & G Farm Market: 1067 Township Line Rd, Swedesboro, NJ 08085
  • Seven Star Diner: 1890 Hurffville Rd, Sewell, NJ 08080
  • Walmart Supercenter: 3501 NJ-42, Turnersville, NJ 08012
