WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ — A Gloucester County man was arrested Wednesday after authorities say he shared child pornography on social media.

Investigation into Michael S. Schmitt began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a person distributing child pornography on social media.

Detectives linked the account to Schmitt and executed a search warrant July 17 at his Williamstown home, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. They seized several electronic devices that belonged to Schmitt, authorities said.
