Last Chance to Weigh In on West Deptford’s School Budget

The school board will take a final vote on the budget tonight.

Have something to say about this year’s school budget—all ? Tonight’s the official budget hearing, and your last shot to voice your opinion before the final vote by the school board.

It’s a budget , and though it’s been cut from the initially-presented version, the revised budget still represents a tax increase of 4.59¢ per $100 of assessed value. A home assessed at the township average of $207,966 would see an increase of $95.46 in the annual property tax bill, instead of $168.84, as originally projected.

With the board having to coincide with the general election, there will be no public vote on the budget this year.
