Man In Ski Mask Assaulted Wawa Employee During Robbery In South Jersey: Police
The suspect assaulted the worker, jumped over the counter and stole cigarettes, authorities said.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two suspects were arrested after a man in a ski mask assaulted a Wawa employee during a robbery early Wednesday in Gloucester County, authorities said.
The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. at the Wawa on Mullica Hill Road in Harrison Township, police said.
A man in a ski mask assaulted an employee, jumped over the counter and stole cigarettes, police said. The suspect fled on foot to nearby Lambs Road and entered a red SUV that was waiting for him, according to law enforcement.

Mantua Township police found the vehicle in their jurisdiction, briefly pursuing the SUV before it broke down on the 700 block of Lambs Road.
Officers from Harrison, Mantua and Pitman converged on the vehicle and arrested two suspects — Matajh Johnson, 31, and Trayvon Evans, 28 — police said. Both are Millville residents.

Evans was charged with assault, criminal mischief, robbery and theft. Johnson was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
The suspects were placed in the Salem County Correctional Facility, which provides jailing services for Gloucester County.
Neither suspect had an attorney listed in online court records on Thursday.
