Star Student Athlete: Evan Makes History At Gateway Regional High School

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

My son has spent most of his younger years dancing, doing Acro, tap, musicals and plays. He is a senior this year at Gateway regional High School. He found out that a male had never tried out for the team, he decided that he wanted to be the first! He made the team, as the first boy in HISTORY. he is now a varsity cheer leader. We have had so many people approach us, telling us how proud they were of him and that he has for sure lead the way for other young men to also feel comfortable enough to try out. He has volunteered for years with the Westville Gators and the Emmanuel cancer foundation. He is a GREAT student, a hard worker and a shining example of what is possible if you believe in yourself.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

He has gone through a lot to get where he is today!
