Police Chase onto Rt. 42 Ends in 'High Risk' Stop of Stolen Vehicle

Gloucester Township police made the arrest with the assistance of the state police.

Gloucester Township police arrested two men Saturday evening after a "high risk" stop on Route 42 northbound. Officers said they were pursing a stolen car.

The state police assisted in the arrest.

Michael Sees, 41, of the 400 block of Roosevelt Ave, in the Glendora section of the township, and Shaun Jones, 34, of the 100 block of W. Industrial Blvd, Bridgeton, were arrested without incident once the car was pulled over near the Bellmawr state police barracks shortly after 5 p.m..

The highway was closed briefly during the incident. The car was reported stolen out of Millville.

Police said they spotted the vehicle near Roosevelt Avenue in Glendora and were watching it when Sees and Jones allegedly got in and drove off. A patrol car followed but couldn't pull them over before they reached the highway.

Sees and Jones were charged with receiving stolen property. Jones was additionally charged with possession of a hypodermic needle. Both were held at the Camden County jail on a $20,000 bond.
