Teenage Boy Missing Over A Week Out Of South Jersey

Franklin Sperling, 17, has ties to South Jersey and is known to frequent Trenton, police said.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Gloucester County police agency is searching for a teenage boy who they say has been missing for over a week.

Franklin Sperling, 17, was reported missing Sept. 14, according to Monroe Township Police, who are coordinating search efforts. The last-known contact with Sterling was that day around 5:30 p.m., police said.

The law-enforcement agency posted about his disappearance Tuesday on social media. The post has not been updated as of Thursday morning.

Sperling has ties to the South Jersey area and is known to frequent Trenton, police said.

Police described Sperling as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet, 11 inches and 170 pounds.
