2 New Restaurants Coming To Downtown Westfield This Month

WESTFIELD, NJ — Two tasty new spots are coming to Westfield this month.

Mexican restaurant La Bendita and Middle-Eastern street food restaurant Chutzpah Kitchen are both opening up downtown in August.

Originally in Plainfield, La Bendita is expanding to Westfield and will offer authentic Mexican cuisine — from Birria tacos to homemade enchiladas.

The restaurant will be located 114-116 Quimby Street and is schedule to open Aug. 15. You can check out their offerings on Instagram below:

Chutzpah Kitchen has been slated to come to Westfield since January, and this is the second location for the restaurant, with the original located in Maplewood.

The Middle Eastern restaurant will serve "elevated Israeli street food" and feature Middle Eastern favorites, such as falafel, sabich and shawarma.

Chutzpah Kitchen Westfield, to be located at 138 E. Broad Street, will also feature a taboon oven to roast a rotating list of farm fresh vegetables and specialty breads, among other delicacies. The restaurant will have offerings for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores.

Chutzpah Kitchen’s Maplewood location has been open since Oct. 2020 and was awarded New Jersey Monthly's Jersey Choice Restaurant 2021’s Best New Restaurant and Best Middle Eastern restaurant.

The restaurant is expected to open the last week of August.
