4 New Probationary Firefighters Hired In Westfield
Mayor Shelley Brindle swore in new firefighters Corey Menafra, Christian DeEsposito, Parker Puglisi, and Benjamin Hasenkopf on Sunday.
WESTFIELD, NJ — Four new Probationary Firefighters were recently hired to serve on the Westfield Fire Department.
The new probationary firefighters — Corey Menafra, Christian DeEsposito, Parker Puglisi, and Benjamin Hasenkopf — were sworn in by Mayor Shelley Brindle on Sunday.
"It’s always a privilege to swear in first responders!" said Brindle. "Very proud that we have invested in fire department personnel (highest staffing levels in 17 years), new trucks and safety equipment, with plans for a new main firehouse underway, all while maintaining a zero percent municipal tax increase."

The full staffing has returned all four Tours to nine members and allows three fire apparatus to be staffed at times.

The four new members will complete an eight-week training schedule before being assigned their respective shifts, where they will utilize their skills to help the fire department provide the best service to Wesfield, wrote Town of Westfield, NJ Fire Department.
