UNION COUNTY, NJ — Who says that lightning can’t strike twice?
On Friday, New Jersey Lottery officials reported that another big win took place at a store in Union County – just months after it sold a multi-million-dollar prize.
A Jersey 5 Cash 5 jackpot worth $422,167 was hit on July 24, with all five numbers being matched on three separate tickets sold at the Quick Stop Deli and Grill in Union Township.

The winning numbers were: 01, 04, 05, 23 and 31. The XTRA was 03, and Bullseye was 23.
The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning jackpot.

The Jersey Cash 5 win comes just two months after the deli and grill sold a Cash 4 Life jackpot worth a whopping $7 million – making it a “lucky place to visit,” lottery officials said.
According to lottery officials, it isn’t uncommon for the same retailer to sell back-to-back winners.
The Neptune ShopRite sold a Jersey Cash 5 jackpot worth $446,593 on July 1. That is the same store that sold a billion-dollar Mega Millions ticket in 2024, officials said.
