Back To School: Westfield 2025-26 School Calendar

WESTFIELD, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Westfield, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Westfield Public Schools for the 2025-26 school year.

The first day of school for most students in Westfield is Thursday, Sept. 4.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

• Rosh Hashanah: Sept. 23 and 24 - Schools Closed
• Yom Kippur: Oct. 2 - Schools Closed
• Oct. 13 - Schools Closed
• Diwali - Oct. 20 - Schools Closed
• Parent-Teacher Conferences: Nov. 3 to 5 - Half Day
• NJEA Convention: Nov. 6 and 7 - Schools Closed
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 26 (Half Day), Nov. 27 and 28 (Closed)
• Winter Break: Dec. 23 (Half Day), Dec. 24 through Jan. 2(Closed)
• MLK: Jan. 19 - Schools Closed
• Presidents Day/Lunar New Year: Feb. 16 and 17 - Schools Closed
• Eid al Fitr - March 20 - Schools Closed
• Spring Break: March 30 through April 3 - Schools Closed
• April 17 - Half Day
