Save Money Shopping Westfield Small Businesses This Holiday Season: See Deals (patch.com) — Holiday shoppers in Westfield can stretch their budgets by taking advantage of special gift card bonuses, discounts, and bundled offers at more than ten local businesses across Elm, Broad, South, and other downtown streets. From restaurant and coffee shop deals to spa services, jewelry, fitness classes, and art experiences, these promotions run through late December and some into January, encouraging residents to support Westfield’s small-business community.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service (tapinto.net) — Westfield residents are invited to Christmas Eve worship at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, with three distinct services throughout the evening. Families can enjoy a participatory Nativity at 4 p.m., followed by a contemporary Wired service at 7 p.m. and a traditional candlelight and communion service at 9 p.m., all at 140 Mountain Ave.

Beloved Franklin School Crossing Guard Retires (tapinto.net) — A longtime crossing guard at Franklin Elementary School in Westfield has retired after 19 years of keeping students safe at Prospect Street and Newton Place. Town officials, school leaders, and former students praised Jessica Rinaldi’s calm presence, advocacy for safety, and deep ties to the community, and residents can learn more about the town’s crossing guard program through the Westfield Police Department.
   

4. Wednesday Morning Strings Invites Adults 55+ to Make Music Together (tapinto.net) — Adults 55 and older in Westfield can join a free, supportive Wednesday Morning Strings ensemble through the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts starting January 14. Rehearsals in town welcome returning and experienced players, offer adaptive support for mobility challenges, and include community performances at area senior and healthcare facilities, including Sunrise of Westfield.
   

5. No. 7 Westfield defeats Cranford - Boys ice hockey recap (nj.com subscription) — Westfield’s boys ice hockey team, ranked No. 7 in New Jersey, dominated Cranford 8–0 at Warinanco Ice Center, powered by a hat trick and two assists from senior Andrew Lisnock. Liam Reed added two goals and three assists as Westfield stayed unbeaten at 4–0, showcasing strong depth and offensive firepower early in the season.
