Opening Update: Baked Bear Ice Cream Sandwich Shop's 1st Northern NJ Location In Westfield

The ice cream shop, known for its monstrous ice cream sandwiches, is currently searching for team members ahead of its opening.

WESTFIELD, NJ — An opening date for The Baked Bear, a San Diego, California-based ice cream sandwich shop, is approaching for its first northern New Jersey and Union County location in Westfield.

"We're looking to open middle of February or March," a spokesperson with The Baked Bear told Patch.

The Westfield shop will be located at 18 Elm St., which was previously home to Cinnaholic. This would be The Baked Bear's first Union County location and fifth in New Jersey.

Additionally, as the Baked Bear gets ready to open they are looking to hire locally. People can apply on their site at thebakedbear.com/jobs.

The ice cream shop is known for its monstrous ice cream sandwiches with more than a dozen baked-from-scratch cookies and ice cream flavors. Guests get a chance to mix and match cookies or brownies for their top and bottom while choosing their favorite ice cream in the middle.
