Brienne 'Leads With Her Heart': Westfield Star Student

WESTFIELD, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Brienne is a well-rounded heart-of-gold student. She excels in academics, drama, forensics, school and volleyball teams, and altar serving at Holy Trinity for community service. She cares deeply for her friends and their relationships, always trying to help her classmates navigate social media, new relationships, and friendships. She also leads with her heart and what feels right. In this day and social media age, making the right choices is very challenging; for Brienne, it's something she feels is essential to understand and know how to do.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Beyond good grades and the many activities, clubs and sports, Brienne prioritizes friendships, doing the right thing, and leading with her heart.
