Cat Abandoned On Shelter's Porch, Caught On Video In Union County

The act was caught on surveillance video on Monday. Now the shelter is asking for help to identify the person. Watch the video here:

PLAINFIELD, NJ — A camera caught a person dumping a cat on the shelter's front porch and walking away on Monday. (See video below)

"Just moments ago, this person abandoned this cat on our front porch. Luckily, a staff member noticed the scared cat and contained her before she ran into the street," said Plainfield Area Humane Society around 2 p.m.

The shelter at 75 Rock Ave., Plainfield, serves the communities of Berkeley Heights, Springfield, North Plainfield, South Plainfield, Scotch Plains, and Bound Brook.
