Celebrate 'Annika Day at Shackamaxon Country Club in Union County

Golf enthusiasts throughout the tri-state area are invited to join LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam for ANNIKA DAY, a golf and fundraising event at Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, on Oct. 13. ANNIKA DAY will benefit the ANNIKA Foundation, a non-profit organization that teaches children the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle through fitness and nutrition, and offers junior golfers opportunities to fulfill their dreams.

Participants who register for ANNIKA DAY will be treated to a continental breakfast, a special golf clinic led by Sorenstam, an 18-hole golf outing and BBQ lunch, and a cocktail reception hosted by Sorenstam. Individual playing spots are $350 and foursomes are $1250, which includes tee gifts for four, tee signage and recognition in the event program. For those who are unable to spend the full day at Shackamaxon Country Club, a Clinic & Reception ticket is available for only $85. Corporations/individuals are also encouraged to participate through sponsorship of the event and opportunities range from Tee Sign and Putting Green Sponsorships to Title Sponsorship of the ANNIKA DAY festivities.

Sorenstam is considered the greatest female golfer of her generation. During her illustrious 15-year Hall of Fame career, she amassed 89 worldwide victories, including 10 Major Championships on the LPGA Tour. Sorenstam’s record-breaking achievements include eight Rolex Player of the Year honors and six Vare Trophies (lowest scoring average on the LPGA Tour). She is also the only woman to shoot 59 in an official LPGA event, which garnered her the nickname “Ms. 59.”
