Addamsfest And Halloween Parade In Westfield: Tentative Dates Set
Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle revealed some details of fall events, including a Halloween parade and the popular Addamsfest celebration.
WESTFIELD, NJ — There are 76 shopping days left until Halloween, and Westfield's being cautiously optimistic about celebrating popular fall events amid the rise of the Delta variant of COVID-19.
On Friday, Mayor Shelley Brindle said that the planners of AddasmFest — a series of spooky events celebrating Westfield cartoonist Charles Addams —have released dates for some of their upcoming events.
The date of the Halloween parade and costume contest also has been revealed.

AddamsFest Dates:
Oct. 1: Masquerade Ball

Oct. 16: Charlie’s Ale House
Oct. 22: Dudley's Drive-In
Oct. 30: Lantern Sail at Mindowaskin Park
More events will be announced in the future.
Halloween Events
The Optimist Club Halloween Parade and Downtown Westfield Corporation Costume Contest will both take place on Oct. 24, Brindle said. This is the Sunday before Halloween.
The Haunt Your House Contest and Wicked Windows of Westfield will also be back, along with additional events to be announced in coming weeks, Brindle said.
"The team is planning for most events to be outdoors, and we will of course make any adjustments as needed to prioritize public health," the mayor noted.
