Flyers Track Club Members Named Junior Olympic Athletes of the Year
Athletes from the Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Track Club receive honors at the USA Track & Field New Jersey Association Annual Awards Gala
Two Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Track Club team members were honored as Junior Olympic Athletes of the Year at the USA Track & Field New Jersey Association Annual Awards Gala.
The Gala was held on Sunday, January 28 at the Pines Manor in Edison, New Jersey. Awards were presented to athletes at this event who have excelled at the State, Regional, and National Junior Olympics.
The two Flyers athletes who received honors were Brian Guterl and Alexander Kessler, both in the 13-14 Boys Division. Guterl was named Race Walker of the Year and Kessler Javelin Thrower of the Year.
