UNION COUNTY, NJ — The remnants of Tropical Storm Ophelia soaked some sections of Union County over the weekend with more in store for the week in the form of potential showers.
Mountainside got the brunt of it with observers reporting more than 2.6 inches of rain fell over the weekend.

The wet weather is expected to continue throughout the week with rain in the forecast.
Monday: Rain. Widespread fog. High near 61. Northeast wind 9 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain. Widespread fog before 9 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 54. Northeast wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
