Four Westfield Police officers were praised by Police Chief David Wayman this week after their quick response to a local elderly man suffering cardiac arrest saved his life.
Officers Joseph Habeiche, Paul Ferry, Tiffany Kenny and Ryan Weiss came to the aid of the resident, in his 70s, on Sept. 27 when the department received a call about an “unresponsive party” who was possible not breathing, reports say.
According to Tap into Westfield, the officers began CPR on the man within a minute of arriving on the scene until the victim was transported to the hospital.
