Mayor Skibitsky's To Do List: The Budget, Environment, Roads

The mayor wants to make Westfield more attractive to the birds and the bees, he tells the Westfield Leader.

In an interview published in today's Westfield Leader, Mayor Andrew Skibitsky said that work on the 2014 spending plan, now underway, is being helped by "strong" revenues.

He said that there are plans to repave Rahway Avenue, from West Broad Street to Grove Street, as well as most of Westfield Avenue; to expand the recycling center to accept more items; and to dredge the Mindowaskin Park pond for the first time in 26 years. The park celebrates its centennial in 2018.
