Mother, Daughter Duo Open Elegant French Party Venue In Westfield
Victoria and Laurence Marmet have expanded to open Majestic by Victoria's Cake for locals looking to celebrate their milestones.
WESTFIELD, NJ — French mother-and-daughter duo Victoria and Laurence Marmet are bringing an elegant and luxurious experience to Westfield with their new venue space called Majestic by Victoria's Cake.
The duo moved from France to Miami six years ago. During COVID, they moved to New Jersey and opened Victoria's Cake Bakery at 409 Westfield Ave. in September 2021, offering a combination of French and American baked goods.
"We just fell in love with this cute little town. It's very adorable, very charming. We like the family town," said Victoria Marmet to Patch.

Over the four years, Marmet said many customers would approach her asking to do parties at the bakery, but the space was small.
They decided to create a real private space and started looking at other locations. They finally found a new building at 500 Central Avenue, and "it was just meant to be. We wanted to stay in Westfield, and we found that spot," said Marmet.

They officially opened this past February and have seen a positive response from the community.
"I always wanted to own my own business," said Marmet. "If you asked me, six years ago, if I was going to open a bakery, I would have never imagined it... I'm French, so I think I always wanted to find something very familiar that reminds me of home. So I wanted to have a very charming, cozy little bakery. That's why I decided to open the bakery first, and after it just went really well. So one thing led to another. Now I have opened a venue."
Majestic by Victoria's Cake offers a luxurious French venue space complete with French moldings and a sophisticated white cherry blossom tree to set the atmosphere of elegance and charm.
The space can be used to book weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, corporate meetings, holiday parties, sweet 16, quinceañera, bar & bat mitzvahs and more.
"Honestly, seeing people's faces when we give them their cakes is what I enjoy because it's a part of a celebration, a birthday or a communion, a baby shower, gender reveal. I'm always very happy to see that our cake is going to be part of a memory," said Marmet. "And I think for the venue, it's kind of the same thing. I'm just very excited to see their party come to life when they bring in their decor, their themes, and they're just having a great time. That just makes me very happy."
