UPDATE: Police Locate Missing Elderly Man in Westfield

The Westfield Police report a 75-year-old Westfield man is missing.

UPDATE at 10:06 a.m. Friday, May 1: This morning Westfield Police Chief David C. Wayman announced that missing person, James Flynn, age 75, of Westfield has been located.

Westfield Police said Flynn was located early on Friday, May 1, in Philadelphia. Police were able to determine he checked into a hotel in the Philadelphia area using his credit card.

After confirming his location, the Philadelphia Police were contacted and responded to take Flynn into their custody. Philadelphia authorities secured Flynn, who appeared to be in good health but disoriented, Westfield Police said.

Flynn was then turned over to the care of a family member.

Westfield Police have reported they are attempting to locate a missing elderly Westfield man.

Police report James Flynn, 75, is missing from his Westfield home in the 400 block of W. Broad Street. Flynn reportedly suffers from dementia and may not know how to get back home.

Police described Flynn as 5-feet-7-inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and grey hair and beard. He may be driving a 2010 gray two-door Hyundai with the license plate T27CBU.

Police said he last spoke to his daughter on Wednesday, April 29, at approximately 5:30 p.m. and has not been heard from since.

Possible last locations for Flynn are Liverpool and/or Duncannon, Pennsylvania.
