Report: Westfield Senior High School 30th Best in New Jersey
The schools were judged based state tests results and how well the students were prepared for college, according to the rankings.

Westfield Senior High School cracked the top 30 best high schools in the state of New Jersey, according to an annual report from U.S. News & World Report.
Westfield Senior High School came in at No. 30 on the list of best high schools in the state.
According to the report, 97 percent of students are proficient in language and 94 percent are proficient in mathematics. Westfield Senior High School’s college readiness index, which is a weight average based 25 percent on Advanced Placement or IB participation rate and 75 percent on the quality-adjusted AP or IP participation rate, is 51.2 out of 100, the report said. Westfield has a 54 percent AP participation rate.

Westfield Senior High School was ranked 536th out of all high schools in the United States. The high school, located at 550 Dorian Road, has 1,860 students and is the only high school in the Westfield Public Schools district.
U.S. News & World Report reviewed more than 21,000 public high schools nationwide. Schools were judged “based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college,’’ according to the website.
