Water Main Break Repairs Continue, Roads Remain Closed In Union & Somerset Counties

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ —A water break continues to cause disruptions in Union and Somerset County on Thursday.

New Jersey American Water is continuing to make repairs to the break that happened on Wednesday in Berkeley Heights. Repairs are expected to continue through 8 p.m. Thursday.

As a result, Diamond Hill Road, New Providence Road, and Valley Road remain closed in Berkeley Heights.

In Watchung, New Providence Road is closed to northbound traffic, and Valley Road Exit is closed to eastbound traffic.

New Providence Road at Valley Road Exit has reopened in Watchung.

Drivers are asked to avoid the affected areas to avoid traffic delays.
