Sweet Sounds In Westfield Postponed Tuesday Due To Stormy Forecast

WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield's Sweet Sounds live music festival is postponed Tuesday due to an impending storm in the evening.

Sweet Sounds will be pushed to Wednesday, July 13 instead, according to Downtown Westfield's announcement on Facebook.

However, people can still catch Michael Blyumin who is performing Tuesday night at Evalyn Dunn Gallery Annex at 331 W Broad Street.

According to AccuWeather, thunderstorms are expected to begin around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

  • Carrie Jackson at 137 Central Ave
  • Big Bruce & The Messengers on Quimby St
  • Radio Star at Foundation Park

Sponsored by the Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC), the festival typically takes place every Tuesday evening during July and August, from 7pm to 9pm. Rain dates are the following evening, Wednesday, each week.

While listening to the musical performances of “Sweet Sounds Downtown”, people are also encouraged to dine at one of Westfield’s restaurants or stroll and shop along the downtown streets.
