Two Shot, One in the Face, in Separate Elizabeth Armed Robberies: Report

Reports say the first victim, a 46-year-old male employee of Hong Kong Kitchen, was shot in the hip around 9:35 p.m. after he was robbed at gunpoint by two suspects described by witnesses as black males wearing black hooded sweatshirts. The victim was shot after he attempted the follow the suspects who fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash, according to nj.com.

Around 11:38 p.m., police were dispatched two a second second armed robbery at 175 Community Lane where they found a 25-year-old victim had been shot in the mouth by one of his three assailants.

The victim told police he was walking near Second Street and South Park Street when three black males in dark colored hooded sweatshirts demanded he empty his pockets. The suspects fled in an unknown direction after one shot the victim in the face with a handgun, according to TAP into Elizabeth.
