Westfield Area Y Flyers Beat Personal Bests at Championship Meet

Athletes from the 7-8 year old age group Shine at USTAF Cross Country Junior Olympic Championship Meet.

On Saturday December 14 the Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Track Club supported two of their youngest athletes as they gave outstanding performances at the USATF Cross Country Junior Olympic Championship meet held in Shelbyville, Indiana. Competing in the 7-8 year old age group both Grayson Dunleavy and Greyson Van Dyk shaved nearly a minute off each of their personal bests. Grayson Dunleavy placed 30th and Greyson Van Dyk placed 47th out of 247 athletes.

The Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Track Club is a USATF-certified club led by USATF-certified coaches and serves hundreds of athletes ages 7-15 all year-round. The Winter Conditioning program starts Jan. 3rd and is registering now.
