Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Excel at USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships

Athletes earn All-American honors and personal bests at one of the biggest meets of the season

Westfield Area YMCA Flyers athletes represented the team with grit, heart, and impressive performances at the 2025 USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships, held June 25-28 at Icahn Stadium in New York.

Despite soaring temperatures—particularly during the grueling 3000m races—the Flyers displayed resilience and dedication, earning All-American honors, personal bests, and national recognition at one of the biggest meets of the season.

  • Greyson Dunleavy (9-10) – 6th Place, 1500m – 5:25.86
  • Blaise Lacovara (15-16) – 7th Place, 400m Hurdles – 1:06.70
  • Molly Kanterman (13-14) – 6th Place, 200m Hurdles – 32.02
  • Sandra Jakubiuk (11-12) – 5th Place, 3000m – 12:05.81
  • Katalyna Aguilar (11-12) – 7th Place, 3000m – 13:44.09

The Westfield Area YMCA is very proud of the Flyers for achieving All-American status and rising to the challenge on the national stage. Their achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of each athlete.

The Westfield Area YMCA Flyers Track Club is led by USATF-certified coaches and serves hundreds of athletes ages 7-15 year-round. Athletes learn the fundamentals of distance running and techniques unique to off-track running, with more experienced runners building on fundamental skills through conditioning and in-depth training.
