Westfield Attorney Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

The New Jersey State Bar Association awarded a lifetime achievement award to Donald Vanarelli.

A Westfield attorney was recently presented with a lifetime achievement award from the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Elder and Disability Law Section.

Donald D. Vanarelli, whose office is located in Westfield, was presented with the Marilyn Askin Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association during its annual retreat in Philadelphia. The award, the Elder and Disability Law Section’s highest honor, is awarded to an attorney with an established history of distinguished service who has made significant contributions in the field of elder and disability law throughout his or her career.

“To be chosen for this award by fellow elder law attorneys who work beside me in this rewarding field is truly an honor,” Vanarelli said in a release.

The Lifetime Achievement was named after Marilyn Askin, founder and former chair of what has become the New Jersey State Bar Association Elder and Disability Law Section.

Vanarelli received the award in recognition of his advocacy in elder and disability law, including a number of precedent-setting victories advancing the rights of seniors and people with disabilities.
